A game to raise your spirits if you suck at real bowling...
Version 0.9 Beta
LightSword Bowling was a program that I put together as part of
project for my CSI 155 (C++) college course. I wanted a cool
game that I could show on the projector on the screen to show
off some of the cool things you could do with C++ besides
textmode programs. The game proved to be pretty fun so I decided
to release it over the net. I didn't have time to make any sound effects,
so feel free to generate/code some in if you want, and I'll update the game
online with your modifications..
Here's a little summary of a few of this game's features:
Up to 6 players max.
Full compliance with the standard rules of of 10 pin bowling.
6 characters from my unfinished RPG, Contention's Spawn
to choose from.
Groovy 2D graphics and animation.
The controls of the game are easy but you have to actually READ the
readme.txt file that comes with the game to understand them.
Installation instructions
Download the necessary file on the right and proceed
with the installation as follows:
Windows: run "lsbowling-setup.exe" from within the zip file (winzip),
or extract it first and then run setup. Then download and run the program group
needed to add the shortcuts to your start menu.
Linux: untar the tar.gz file into an empty directory.
Read the accompanying "README" file for further instructions.
